Meet Our Guests

Electrical Engineering and Moth Memes

I grew up in the dazzling Northwest right in the heart of Seattle, WA. Engineering has always been a big part of my life because my father was an electrical engineer at Boeing and inspired me to pursue this path as well. Although it was not originally the path I had chosen, I managed to steer towards engineering eventually. I went back to school to get my second bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Washington Bothell. Having received my first degree in Biochemistry, many signs pointed to me needing to re-evaluate my decisions. Everything happens for a reason and I have been fortunate to start my career at Boeing in the Avionics department. I am passionate about aviation which makes me excited to go to work every day.

In my spare time I love traveling, cooking, playing video games, trivia and anything that involves walking, hiking, biking and being active. One of my favorite places I travelled to was Madagascar where I saw lemurs, miniature chameleons and beautiful scenic landscapes.

I hope to inspire young women to enter the field of engineering and will continue to volunteer my time in helping to make this happen.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or advice and I would be more than happy to help!

Let's Be Civil

I’m currently wrapping up my degree in Mechanical Engineering - Mechatronics at the University of Washington. In September I’ll be moving cross-country to Philadelphia to begin working life at W.L. Gore and Associates (think GORE-TEX aka the creator of your dream hiking ensemble) as a Process Engineer.

My interests include live music, pub trivia, traveling with my friends, trying new recipes (with variable results), and yoga. My guilty pleasures are BBC crime procedurals and tiktok. Now that I’m leaving the PNW, I’ll miss all the beautiful hikes, but I’m excited to explore up and down the East Coast!

I’m passionate about encouraging more woman to choose a career in engineering. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
